Steering Committee of State CAMPA under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Odisha is the body to scrutinize and approve the APO prepared by the Executive Committee. The members are Principal Secretary Planning and Co-ordination Department, Principal Secretary Finance Department, Principal Secretary Forest, Environment & Climate Change department, Principal chief Conservator of forests & HoFF, Odisha, Principal Chief conservator of Wildlife and Chief Wildlife warden, Chief conservator of Forest (Forest Diversion and Nodal officer) , O/o PCCF Odisha. A representative of Govt of India (MoEF & CC) to be nominated by GoI, MoEF & CC, two eminent NGOs (to be nominated by the State Government for a period of 2 years). The Chief Conservator of Forests (Policy, Planning and Afforestation) O/o PCCF, Odisha is the member Secretary of the Steering Committee.
The role of the Steering Committee is to lay down and approve the rules and procedures, monitor the utilization of Funds, approve the APO prepared by the Executive Committee, ensure inter departmental co-ordination. The Steering committee shall meet at least once in 6 months.
