The aims and objective of the State CAMPA is to promote
- Conservation, Protection, Regeneration and management of existing natural forest
- Conservation, Protection and management of Wild Life and its Habitat within and outside of protected areas
- Compensatory Afforestation
- To provide environmental services for provision of goods such as wood, NTFP, Fuel & Fodder and Water, Tourism, wild life protection & life Support. As a regulating service Such as Climate regulation, Disease control, flood, moderation, carbon sequestration and health of soil, air and water regimes. The major non material benefits obtain from eco systems like Spiritual, recreational, aesthetic, Educational etc. Research, training and Capacity Budling is also a major objective of CAMPA.
Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) are meant to promote afforestation and regeneration activities as a way of compensating for forest land diverted to non-forest uses.
